Singer/songwriter Jill Blutt has finally returned with new material. Musically, Breathing in Manual consists of only creative elements. A nostalgic feel is present in the production, melodious vocals soar above an 80’s inspired instrumental. The lyrics were carefully crafted, and convey thoughtful messages.
Regarding the track, Jill says: ”Breathing in Manual is about the moment of self-awareness when overactive thoughts manifest psychically. More broadly, though, this song and project as whole are about my personal relationship with loneliness and the ways in which that relationship has shifted and evolved over the part year.”
I’m particularly impressed by the quality of Breathing in Manual. Its sound and narrative are excellent. Take a listen below!
