Penny Roox is a 25 year-old serenader based in the Netherlands. Her new single, Sad Sad Dreams, brings back nostalgia. It draws influences from artists such as Elvis Presley, Joni Mitchell, and Chet Atkins. Highly impressive vocals and various instruments are present here. Since the guitar work is so brilliant, I particularly appreciate the breakdown. Penny writes about dreaming of having a lover, but to wake up and find out you’re still lonely.
