Musician Alice Mary lives in East London and makes sumptuous, shimmering indie pop. She shares her new song, Mystery. The thundering bass and tight drums are accompanied by funky clavinova and jittery guitar. Production-wise, it’s reminiscent of the 1980s. Vocally, it’s expressive and timbrally rich.
The song is about trying to move on after a breakup but feeling stuck, warring with yourself over whether to be friends, whether to forgive, what to hold on to, and feeling like you’re getting it wrong no matter what you do.
