Boston based artist Emilia Ali releases a new project, entitled Girls Like You. I think the title track will be a crowd favorite. Throughout, Emilia emphasizes her rich vocals. Another aspect that contributes to the authenticity of the music is the soothing, ethereal instrumentation.
Emilia says on the EP, “I wrote/co-wrote most of Girls Like You when I was younger, leaving little breadcrumbs to my truth, and unaware of what or why I was creating. I wasn’t accepting of myself and my sexuality for the longest time because most of my behavior was in exchange for love, acceptance, or safety from other people.”
Girls Like You features strong songwriting. All these lines are heartfelt, personal, and profound. Check out the audio below!
