Catterina is a Brooklyn, New York native singer-songwriter and independent artist who now resides in Houston, Texas. Inconvenience, the first single from her upcoming debut EP, brings a soulful take on pop music you can’t help but like. It’s really the instrumentation that’s so fascinating here. The guitar, for instance, adds another layer of sonic depth.
In the narrative, we see a lot of significance. Catterina explains: ”This is a song that you scream at the top of your lungs after leaving a toxic relationship. I wrote this track after I finally came to terms with the reality of my situation after months of crying, romanticizing, and making up a story about how my ex was the best thing to ever happen to me when in reality; he was a gaslighting narcissist who rarely made time for me.”
