Mothgal is an Australian-American pop duo from Nashville, comprised of vocalist Courtney Wray and producer/musician Alex Tomlins. In their new single Reason, they opt for an energy-driven approach with instrumentation that gets you moving. Vibey synths and electric guitars maintain a constant tempo. The vocals are placed over the production and are most impressive during the chorus.
Reason revolves around the vulnerability, fears, and second guessing in a relationship, when you begin to see someone differently, and perhaps get a little ahead of oneself about what the future holds.
