Swedish artist Agnes Hustler has been showing the world her singing, songwriting, and production skills since 2019. Her most recent release, Through The Fire, is euphoric in its sound. Pop melodies reminiscent of Rihanna and Billie Eilish lead the arrangement. Strong vocals are surrounded by cinematic textures.
In collaboration with Mind, an organization that promotes mental health awareness, this release has been made. As part of the colab, Agnes will share her experiences of mental illness on Mind’s social media platforms and use her voice and song to break down stigma.
Agnes comments the following: “After writing this song when I was playing synth last summer, I realized what the song really is about – to face my fears and stop working around mental illness. In the fall of 2020, after several years of unsustainable hard work, an unsustainable lifestyle, I reached a breaking point and burnout. With Through The Fire, I want to urge my listeners to get professional help for their mental illness and to put your health first, not your career.”
Whenever Agnes writes music, she focuses on relevant themes. This song perfectly exemplifies that. Check out Through The Fire below!
