Sulene is a Brooklyn-based artist who composes her own music as well as scores for film, commercials, and television. Her most recent single, We Go Hard, features pulsing drum machines and droned out synthesizers. It’s bursting with drive. Although the sound is heavy, it still manages to incorporate a melodic aspect to it. The vocals are so fascinating because of an interesting tone they carry.
Over the production, Sulene belts, “I do what I want. And what I want is to dance.” And dance she does. Following many months of intense fear of crowds, the middle-fingers-in-the-air it’s-time-to-party energy is downright seductive. You can practically taste the sweat on the dance floor.
