Whenever you’ve a moment that you wish you could relive, it’s because that moment felt like it was meant to be. It was a moment when all the stars aligned and everything felt just perfect. Edith’s new single The Day We Met tells the story of unrequited love. She sings about how she wishes she could turn back time. But the reality is that life goes on.
Synth-pop is having a resurgence in popularity, and with good reason – the genre is catchy and upbeat, ideal for a party or a drive. Edith’s The Day We Met has met all of the expectations I had. The beat sounds punchy, and the synths are shimmering and atmospheric. Apart from that, the vocals are exceptionally suited to the music they appear in, and the song is enhanced by their presence.
