Nika Taleghani put a lot of time into getting the phrasing and vocal tone just right for her new single, Back and Forth. She wanted to capture the emotional “back and forth” that can occur in any relationship. This is a normal thing that happens between couples, but it can be very painful. By sharing her story, Nika hopes to help listeners who might be going through the same thing.
The emotional ‘back and forth’ cycle is the term given to a type of relationship in which partners regularly go back and forth between being close and being distant. In this type of relationship, partners often feel like they are constantly on eggshells, never knowing when the other person will withdraw or become angry. This back-and-forth dynamic can be disastrous to a relationship, as it can lead to feelings of insecurity, doubt and mistrust.
