It’s no secret that the world is a very different place since the pandemic hit. And while some people have managed to move on and rebuild their lives, others are still struggling.
This is reflected in Melanie MacLaren’s new single, Orion. The lyrics speak to a self-destructive desire to make up for lost time, as if the clock is ticking and we need to hurry up and do everything we’ve always wanted to do. But they also offer a glimmer of hope, reminding us that we can’t let the darkness win. We have to keep fighting, even when things seem bleak.
