When you listen to Jodi Valentin’s new single, Why Did I Lose You, the first thing that comes to mind is how relatable the lyrics are. They accurately portray the feeling of regret we all experience when we part ways with someone who we thought was the love of our life.
The more you think about this person, the more you wonder what could have been if you would just held on a little longer. Maybe things would have worked out in the end, or maybe you would have ended up disappointing them. You’ll never know for sure now.
I enjoy the song’s production. This is the type of sound that today’s music needs – fresh and exciting, but not too over the top. Jodi sings confidently without losing her pitch or control. There are very few vocalists who can sing with that level of skill she has. This makes her music all the more heartwarming and heartfelt. We hope to hear more songs like Why Did I Lose You in the future!
