At some point, we’ve all been there – that moment when we feel like we can’t escape the grip of our social awkwardness, or the frustration of not being able to express how we really feel. For some, this might mean struggling to have a conversation without getting uncomfortable, while for others it might mean finding it difficult to let go and have some fun.
Gold Spectacles’ new song, Social Graces, is for anyone who’s perhaps a bit socially awkward, and longs to step outside their own bubble. The lyrics are clever and surprisingly honest.
The production on Social Graces really stands out. The guitars are plucky and provide a nice contrast to the deep baseline. And the vocals are beautifully harmonious, adding another layer of emotion to the song.
