It’s strange, isn’t it? You can be in the middle of a huge crowd of people, but still feel completely alone and disconnected.
It’s like you’re invisible to them. They go about their lives, and you’re just standing there, watching them and wishing you could be a part of it.
What’s going on here? Well, it’s called social isolation, and it’s a growing problem in our society. We’re so connected to each other through our phones and social media, but in person we’re more separated than ever.
Eve Whelan’s new single, Wasted Youth, is about not knowing where you belong. It’s something I think a lot of us can relate to, especially young people.
Although the lyrics of Wasted Youth are moody, the melody carries a cheerful and cheerful vibe. The harmonies in the chorus sound so catchy that you’ll have trouble getting them out of your head.
