If there’s one thing that’s clear, it’s that men have been flexing in the form of popular music for centuries. Whether it’s a rapper boasting about his wealth, or a rock star showing off his rebelliousness, music has always been a way for men to show off their status and influence.

But what about women? Can’t they flex too?

Multi-disciplined artist MIXIE is here to answer that question with her new single, fuccboi. It’s a declaration of female power and self-confidence. With lyrics like “Little bitty broke boy, killjoy” and ”Sorry that you can’t hang around” MIXIE is showing the world that women can flex just as hard as men.

Rapid-fire drums kick off the track and set the tone for MIXIE’s full foray into dance rock. A dreamy, syncopated guitar line bounces along with her vocals, creating a sound that’s both catchy and unique.
