Alice Elle’s Burnt Out Flame immediately caught my attention with its thoughtful lyrics. It’s so easy to get frustrated when things don’t go as planned, but it’s important to remember that change is possible at any time. The song acknowledges that we all have a flame inside us that can never be extinguished, and we should protect it.
Alice said recording Burnt Out Flame was a very special experience. She had fun being in the studio and working with producer Andy. The final product reflects this.
Burnt Out Flame has a noticeable rock/alt-pop influence. It’s quite impressive musically and will have you bopping along. Alice’s singing is enjoyable to listen to because she doesn’t sound overly dramatic. In other words, she doesn’t try to make her voice sound bigger than it is. She stays within her range and uses her power selectively.
