Indie singer-songwriter Darcy Fox wrote She Loves Christmas Time for the love of her life. Darcy has never met anyone who enjoys Christmas as much as this person does. The excitement in her eyes when December rolls around is absolutely infectious. Darcy wanted to capture that joy in a song, and we think it worked out.
The production may sound simple, but it’s really catchy, and we can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy when we listen to it. The song resembles the music of Phoebe Bridgers and Girl in Red.
Darcy’s performance is outstanding here. She doesn’t use any intense tones, but keeps the range of her voice smooth. Her notes never stray from pitch, and she enunciates every word very clearly. This makes her lyrics easy to understand and follow.
