The world we currently live in is full of chaos and it can be incredibly overwhelming at times. It seems like there’s always something going on, whether it’s politics, the economy, or just everyday stressors.
As a result, we tend to focus on negativity and think there’s no hope. But if we can be honest with ourselves and each other, we can find our way back to what matters most.
This is something Dutch singer-songwriter Romy Liz Rose captures in her new single, In All Honesty. It takes you on a journey through the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. The lyrics are really powerful.
The instruments used here are compelling and add to the complexity of the piece. The guitar, for example, is played in a way that’s unique and provides a different sound than what’s typically heard in Indie Folk music.
Romy’s vocals are well-balanced. They’re never too loud or too soft, and they never veer into the territory of shrill or grating. This makes her performance easy to listen to, even during the more emotional sections of the song.
