Ruin, Zanne Hanna’s new single, transcends my expectations with its well-constructed build-up. There’s so much to discover in this production and it goes all out from 1:32 on, giving off an energy that makes you feel you’re traveling through space. Zanne’s singing shines brightly, and is one of the defining elements here.
Ruin examines how it feels to be with someone who constantly tries to bring you down. The lyrics are deeply meaningful, and I think they’re among the best I’ve heard recently. Zanne is unquestionably a top songwriter.
