In her latest single Perfume, Latvian/Dutch producer, singer and entrepreneur ANNNA shows us what she’s capable of. It features warm disco beats and sticky bass lines that will make your day better than ever. The vocals are mellow in tone, but have enough punch to give the lyrics the emphasis they deserve.
Perfume is based on the story of how ANNNA and producer Bastian Benjamin escaped the city on the hottest day of 2022 in order to write music in a tiny, old Dutch ‘bread baking house’. It was so small that both artists had to sit on the grass near the house to escape the heat. This was exactly the moment when ANNNA said, “Wow, the air tonight, it has such a scent, I wish it was a perfume”.
This song turns winter into summer almost instantly. I really enjoy listening to it, and it gives me a good idea of where ANNNA will go from here.
