Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53, by Colombian singer Shakira and Argentine DJ Bizarrap went viral as soon as it was released. Although the production sounds poppy, the lyrics are surprisingly intense. Sharika shows almost no mercy when it comes to dissing her ex-husband, former Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique. There’s a high chance he didn’t sleep well after hearing the song.
With lines like ”You traded a Rolex for a Casio”, Vol. 53 never becomes boring. Sharika uses clever wordplay to illustrate the depth of her writing abilities. Her vocals are both powerful and striking.
My expectation is that Vol. 53 will continue to grow in popularity. Shakira and Bizarrap definitely made something worth talking about. Check it out below!
