manifesto is the latest single from Tulsa’s indie pop princess LEX. It has the power to mesmerize you from the very first note. The production sounds unique, and despite being somewhat experimental, it never loses its appeal. I especially like the driving drums here, since they give the sound plenty of energy. LEX’s vocals contrast beautifully with the musical backdrop.
The lyrics of Manifesto are heartfelt and moving. They speak to the struggles of having to deal with a toxic partner. Unfortunately, this experience is more common than you might think.
