Shawn Chasten is a singer, producer, and songwriter from South Jersey who now lives in San Luis Obispo. His new single, Hey Girl, features soothing organic instrumentation. Elements such as the acoustic guitar really make it memorable. I love how the vocals ooze authenticity and warmth, giving the atmosphere an extra layer of texture.
Chasten wrote Hey Girl in one day and left the second verse unfinished, searching for the right girl to collaborate on it. His search went on until he encountered Shanti Herzog and was finally satisfied.
