The new artist name of Amber Kamminga is BARNSTEEN. On her upcoming EP, she combines country storytelling with pop sounds and draws inspiration from Lennon Stella, Kacey Musgraves, and Bente.
Zilver gives us a good idea of what the project’s direction will be. It incorporates cool instruments, such as guitar, to really enliven the production. BARNSTEEN’s vocals are sharp and deliver empowering lyrics.
Zilver addresses the oppression of women in our society, a topic that’s not discussed as much as it should. This alone makes it worth praising.
