The latest single from Indie-soul artist Raegan Sealy is Killing Song. It discusses the little problems that nag at you in relationships but you don’t want to address because you know eliminating the problems will also kill the relationship. This leaves you with an uncertain situation, since you don’t know what to do next.
There are a lot of classical influences in Killing Song, which I really enjoy listening to. You’ll come across violin and piano, for example, whose melodies intertwine to create a delicate, poignant effect. The soul-pop vocals of Sealy are both soft-spoken and assertive, filling oceans between the confidence and irony of her storytelling and the emotional performance she delivers.
