Singer-songwriter Daniella Binyamin grew up between the countryside of Sweden and the vibrant cities of the Middle East. Her debut EP, Abba, just came out. Its title track is especially noteworthy. I’m really fascinated by how the melody ebbs and flows throughout. The vocals evoke emotion with their heartfelt tone.
Abba has excellent lyrics that offer a combination of hope, devastation, freedom, and madness. Daniella put a lot of work into them.
Out of Fuel is another song that I want to point out from the EP. What makes this song so unique is the mystery and oriental hook, as well as the intimate energy.
The EP Abba started taking shape in the summer of 2020 when Daniella moved to her mum’s little house in the woods after a breakup. The only company she had in her mind and heart were her demons and an old piano. She began writing and recording small voice memos of her emotions and thoughts, trying to narrow down the chaos within her. She sat alone and tried to figure out who she once was and who she wanted to become.
I believe we can all agree that Daniella’s music is something we should all take the time to listen to. Check out Abba below!
