Glass Forest is a Vancouver-based indie-pop band composed of Nick Owen (vocals/keys), Stephen Clarke (bass/beats) and Abby Wale (vocals). Their live shows often reflect an obvious wave of euphoria.
With its pop production, Can’t Just Walk Away engages the listener immediately. Although the build-up may seem slow, it never gets boring. The instrumental is absolutely stunning. Beautifully sung vocals warm the heart.
Can’t Just Walk Away addresses the emotional hardships that follow a previous relationship; specifically, between Nick and Abby.. Their direct confrontation of their traumas made writing and recording the song a uniquely honest process. In an oddly healing way, it provided a platform for working through issues rarely discussed by former romantic partners.
