Noel Tsoukalas – middle of may

There is catharsis in getting in your car and driving where the wind takes you. The gradual increase of speed, the wind tickling your face, the private concert you hold as you sing at the top of your lungs. The flood of emotion and eventual clarity we get from these joy rides should never be taken for granted.

Taking it one step further, SoCal pop artist Noel Tsoukalas’ latest single middle of may encapsulates that sentiment as it steadily gains speed, heading faster and faster towards a catastrophic climax of insane vocal riffs. While the instrumentals feel airy and glittery, like warm sun beams reflected off your windshield, Tsoukalas stays grounded and firm in tone and story. She’s too strong to break down, but the hurt is never far behind.

Though the warmth of her voice may entice you, don’t be fooled; middle of may is not your average pop track. It isn’t afraid to ask questions that break our hearts, and that’s exactly why we love it.
