Tim Atlas is an Oakland-born, Los Angeles-based artist known for fusing indie pop and R&B (often compared to Toro y Moi and Rex Orange County). His latest single, Knockin, marks a new phase for him. It makes you feel wavy with its groovy elements, The vocals are clear and softly soulful. I’m a fan of the way the guitar gives the chorus an industrial feel.
Atlas takes his musical style to a whole different level here. Knockin is one of those jams that you can’t stop listening to, because there’s so much interesting stuff in it. You’ll really enjoy the song.
