Singer-songwriter Izzie Derry doesn’t waste any time this year. In order to build excitement for her debut album, she released the single Wasted Love. It features quirky alt-pop production, with instruments such as drums and guitars driving the tempo forward.
Wasted Love is about Izzie’s ex boyfriend. She loved him, but he broke up with her via text, which was awful. However, she called him up and forced him to break up with her properly, like an adult. In order to feel like she got her own back, she wrote this mean song about him.
Izzie has a different way of doing things and follows no prefabricated rules. It’s because of this that her music affects the soul so strongly. Check out Wasted Love below!
