Ceitidh Mac’s single, Heliotrope, tackles weighty themes with gentleness. The track was written as an intuitive response to witnessing nature’s beauty and power. It features Mac’s signature cello basslines, warm analog synths, vibraphone and affecting vocals, along with stunning guest vocals from B-ahwe.
The title Heliotrope refers to a flower that turns to follow the sun. In Greek mythology, Helios is the name of the sun god. The sun lifts our spirits when we see it or feel its warmth on our skin. However, there’s another side to the heat. Heliotrope is about pushing boundaries and listening to nature’s intuition. Check it out below!
