Low Girl’s new single, Pockets, is about trying to repress something that constantly resurfaces. When Sarah Cosgrove (the lead singer of the band) this track, her life was chaotic and uncertain. In spite of this, there was a sense of excitement and anticipation in the air, like she was on the cusp of something big. The song explores how we often try to push certain thoughts and feelings down, locking them away in the pockets of our mind. But those pocketed notions have a habit of surfacing again when we least expect them.
Pockets features quirky pop instrumentals that complement the vocals well. The chorus is undoubtedly the best part of the song, due to its catchiness. Check out the song below!
