She wanted the lyrics to capture what it’s like to be caught between hoping there might be something real underneath the surface and realizing you deserve so much more.
The song has a chill, pop vibe, but with an energizing beat at the same time. It sounds polished and well-constructed. Alexa’s vocals are outstanding, possessing much uniqueness.
