emmyjane wanted to write a song representing pure love and joy. After dealing with writer’s block, she found inspiration in her favorite color – green. It’s the color of balance, harmony and tranquility. The lyrics speak of two souls finding their way to each other and connecting in a deep, meaningful way.
With ambient, layered strings, rich harmonies and a pulsing beat, Green has the feel of a coming of age romance film. It demonstrates how inspiration can come from simple things.
