being anne, a singer-songwriter in the realm of Phoebe Bridgers and such, born in France, living in the US and Germany, releases her first song, titled cold bitch. It’s composed of quiet guitar melodies that provide an appealing sound. The vocals deliver every note with such heartfelt emotion. Particularly during the bridge, anne’s performance sparkles.
The song’s lyrics are coherent. anne’s advice when it comes to handling the pain of a breakup over Facetime is to keep warm, not become cold, and wear your heart on your sleeve instead of being cynical. Nevertheless, the anger remains and she expresses: “If I could be a cold bitch baby you’d see, how I burn your clothes and throw out your TV.”
