Nigerian singer-songwriter Teni returns with her hotly anticipated new album TEARS OF THE SUN following a string of hit singles. Its focus track, YBGFA (Young Black Girl From Africa), uses Brazilian funk rhythms to support its smooth piano melodies. The vocals have a heartfelt quality throughout.
YBGFA explores Teni’s roots through an autobiographical narrative. It gives a real insight into who she is as a person. The lyrics are absolutely on another level of greatness.
