Nashville-based artist, songwriter, and producer Skylar Lee tells stories instinctively. Her latest release, Don’t Want a Body, includes influences from Conan Grey, Lizzy McAlpine, and FINNEAS. The song starts off mellow, but eventually turns into something anthemic. However, it always remains somewhat moody.
The song’s lyrics describe how, despite the physical signs of change and moving on – like the growth of hair roots or the need to cut nails once touched by a former lover, the emotional heart remains stuck in the past, unable to move forward. Check out Don’t Want a Body below!
