Rosalie James is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter from Cornwall, UK. She releases her new single, Girl I Was. Its sound resists simple definition. Just Imagine a mix of rock and cinematic music, with guitars swirling over drums. However, we must also mention the synthesizers, which breathe lightness into the production. Regarding the vocals, we can only be positive.
Girl I Was tells the story of an important but destructive relationship from Rosalie’s past. The raw and honest song describes what happens when we give away our power and how we must grow in order to move forward.
