Singer-songwriter Tally Spear has an insatiable curiosity about life. In her new single Here Comes The Rain, she speeches how complicated it is to get through the everyday hustle. Because, let’s not lie, things aren’t always simple. It’s normal to feel anxious sometimes, and to wonder why you do what you do. Especially when you’re stuck in a routine, this happens.
Spear wrote Here Comes The Rain during the midst of insomnia while abroad in Cyprus on a writing trip. She couldn’t sleep at all, and she kept asking questions. The lyrics evidently indicate their moody nature.
Here Comes The Rain emphasizes tension with slamming melodic guitars and industrial-sounding rudiments. Spears’s vocals remain even, so they can express the lyrics intelligently. It’s the chorus that makes the biggest impact here, as it brings the best of the various segments together.
