Charlie Houston releases her queer break up anthem, Pink Cheetah Print Slip. Its context revolves around a classic tale of betrayal. Houston’s ex has moved on to someone new, but she’s not buying the act. The lyrics imply that this new flame is a downgrade. Despite the anger, there’s an undercurrent of confidence in Houston’s words. She’s convinced her ex will miss what they had.
Pink Cheetah Print Slip has some smooth indie arrangements, led by guitars and drums. I appreciate the vocal style, which can be gritty but also dreamy. There’s a nice contrast here. The chorus feels catchy and sassy.
In less than 2 minutes, Houston gets her point across, and she does so with style. Check out Pink Cheetah Print Slip below!
