ANLIL is an emerging artist influenced by her Middle Eastern heritage, while also embracing dark pop references. All For Nothing, featuring Johan Lenox, the 4th song off her album, hits the jackpot. I love how the electronics evolve and alter the sound in a flippo-like manner. The vocals are highly expressive, putting the pieces together.
All For Nothing explores the painful aftermath of a toxic relationship, questioning whether it was all worthwhile. In most cases, no. You would have been better off focusing your energy on something else. However, it’s still possible to find true love, so don’t give up!
