LA-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and filmmaker Holly Blair freshly released her new EP, Then Comes The Lightning. Its lead single is called, Line Again, The song scores on all counts. I dig how the acoustic guitar imparts motion. A rhythmic push follows after a while. The vocals remain dreamy, and their quality is admirable.
Developed amidst a turbulent phase in their life, Line Again documents introspection and emotional upheaval. There’s heartbreak and playfulness in the EP, but also a lot of observations of Holly and the world around her, and she feels it marks a time in her life when she finally began to connect the dots.
