Sometimes you come across an artist who dares to try something completely different and seems unfazed by what’s happening around her. Let Evija Vēbere be one of those. When I heard her new single, Puk Puk, I wasn’t sure what to think. It’s incredibly uncommon, but in a fantastic way. The electronics dance like stars through the sphere of the production, gradually becoming more exciting. The vocals are wrapped in a dreaminess that even the biggest grump would crack a smile at.
The accompanying music video of this song was filmed in Amsterdam, at the DAS Theatre space. It’s used as a master graduation project and the outcome is strongly positive. You can’t help but love the spiritual and artistic content here.
