Emerging alt-grunge quartet Slung release their new single, Neurotic. It’s powered by powerful drums that keep the rhythm moving forward. The guitar playing is sublime, transforming the melody into something else. I love the vocal’s bombastic quality.
The lyrics picture moments that symbolize a deeper fear of being unable to influence or change certain situations. For example, the analogy of being a passenger in a car driven by someone reckless reflects the feeling of helplessness and relying on others for safety.
