London-based artist Allegra is seen as one of the next wave of artists who will put England in the spotlight even more. Her latest release, Strangers, embraces both pop and EDM sounds, and therefore sounds richly energetic. I enjoy the build-up that leads to the upbeat chorus, which gets you dancing. When it comes to singing, Allegra is very technical. Every note has been recorded precisely where it belongs.
Strangers is about life after a break-up. Allegra regrets being with her ex-partner and dwells on it often.. But unfortunately the past cannot be changed. Thank goodness, Allegra can vent her heart in this way.
