British artist Darla Jade is a familiar face in the music industry. However, if it were up to us, she would get even much more attention. With Desire, Darla goes for an electro-pop sound. The gritty bassline reflects her rebellious attitude. I love how the chorus breaks away from the verses and changes gears. Things remain fresh that way.
The lyrics of Desire talk about the feeling of being consumed by desires and expectations that lead to self-doubt and internal conflict. Basically, Darla tackles the pressure to meet unrealistic standards and the toll it takes on mental well-being.
