Margot & The Midnight Tenants is an alternative pop-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. They release their new single, Squid. The squid, with its oblong shape and reaching arms, symbolizes a being that must navigate through challenges. Even though the senseless pain surrounding it, the squid is depicted as brave, capable of breaking free from the ties that bind it. We humans should take note of that.
Squid has quirky indie pop instrumentals that take a freewheeling approach to creativity. I love how things shuffle around. The vocals do their job exactly as they should.
