21-year-old singer-songwriter Mercer Henderson hails from San Francisco, CA. Lock Me Up appears on her debut EP, Not Really Strangers. The song starts slowly with whispering guitars. Then drums enter the mix and give the production some tension. The vocals are sung in a indie pop-influenced style.
Lock Me Up talks about the unpredictable, exhilarating craziness of being in love. It literally brings you into ecstasy. There are times when thinking is difficult because your head seems to be somewhere else.
