The first single from Ronniee’s 2024 EP Garden is Boys Dressed As Men. And what does it sound like? Well, to put it simply: great. The funk influences make it all feel so fluid. You’ll love the guitar riffs and sassy drums. The vocals are brilliantly mixed and don’t disappoint at any point. Most notably, when they’re layered during the chorus, something magical happens. It may also be due to the addition of horns.
Boys Dressed As Men chronicles Ronniee’s negative dating experiences. Instead of complaining, she approaches it in a light-hearted manner. And she’s right. Sometimes it’s best to laugh about certain things and see how the future will turn out.
