Dutch group Nelles release their new single, Missing You. It’s about being in a relationship with a manipulative person. No matter how much you dislike it, you let it happen. But deep down you know you should leave. Life could be so much more fun for you if you put yourself first.
Missing You is musically a bit more raw than Nelles’ previous work. I’d classify it primarily as melodic with a light gritty undertone. The vocals are placed just below the drums, setting up an unintentional tension that works very well.
Nelles may echo Kacey Musgraves, Corinne Bailey Ray and Lianne La, but they also have their own sound. This is evidently reflected in Missing You. Check it out below!
